Affordable Health Insurance for Widows
Our goal is to Enroll Widows across rural Ebonyi State in the State Health Insurance, giving each of them Continuous Care that they can afford.
Helping Widows Obtain Affordable
Health Care
Most Widowed Households in rural Ebonyi State pay for Health Care out of pocket, when recieving Care. When Income is Irregular and already committed to Food and School Costs, that means Care is Delayed until an illness becomes severe.
Delayed Care costs more. It also removes the Woman from Farm work or Trading during the period she is Unwell, which Reduces the Household Income further at the point it is least able to absorb the loss. For many families, an Untreated Illness is what moves them from Managing to Not Managing.
The Ebonyi State Health Insurance Agency addresses this directly. The Cost is Fixed and which helps eliminate Unattainable Medical Care. After Enrollment, a widow can seek care at an Accredited Facility without an Unpredictable Charge at the Point of Care.

Lunch 5 new Tabitha Widows Care Centers across OHANIVO communities of Ebonyi State Nigeria.
Offer Scholarships to 50 children of widows in rural areas of Ebonyi State Nigeria
To Strengthen our Outreach, we plan to provide an Operational Vehicle
Establish a Widows Micro-Credit Initiative
Build a Community Resource & Skill Training Center in Uburu Ohaozara LGA Ebonyi State.
Strengthen Monitoring and Evaluation to ensure Impact
Host an Annual Widows Medical and Empowerment Conference
